Car Hire

Having never yet hired a car in Bulgaria I cannot tell you much from first hand experience. However, I can advise you that most of the internation car-hire companies are represented in and around Bulgaria. See therir relevant web sites for more details of costs.

The only local company that I have any details are Tany. Their prices are maybe a little cheaper, but some of their cars are also a little older.

Avoid the very cheap car-hire that is available unless you are happy with the prospect of pushing your car back! Reliability could be an issue.

Remember, in Bulgaria they drive on the right. You can be stoped and fined on the spot for even a minor offence. There are even references to cars being highjacked and stolen - I can only relate what i have read/heard from elsewhere.
