Location

Situated about 60km from Sofia Airport (less than an hour if the ring-road is not too busy!) , the house is easy to locate.

Access

When arriving at Sofia Airport you can either hire a car or get a taxi.

If you choose a taxi it should be about 50 Leva (I have not yet hired a taxi to the house, but the rates should be no more than 1 Lev per Km). You will need the maps/directions to give to the driver as he almost certainly will not have a clue! When making a booking for the house I will send you precise directions with pictures of landmarks to look for: don't be put off, it really is very easy to find.

I will leave it to you to find the best prices for car hire.

Rooms

Okay, so let me tell you something about the house and what it has to offer.

Situated in a small, quiet village, the property is on 4 floors, although the top floor is our own private apartment and not available to let.
(NB: We are not there when the house is let to guests)

So, some more description. From the ground up:

The Ground Floor

  • An integral single garage (+ outdoor hard-standing for 2 cars)
  • There is a large play room so the kids can be locked away when they get too much! If you bring lilo's you could even sleep some on the floor if necessary.
  • Boiler room for the central heating.
  • Amenity room with fridge for the wine/beer/Rakia, freezer (for the ice!) and washing machine.

The First Floor

  • Very large lounge with dining space and terrace. There is a double sofa-bed if you need it. Satellite television (motorised dish, so plenty of choice!) and DVD player. Dining table with room for 10.
  • Fitted kitchen. Terrace.
  • Shower & Toilet.

The Second Floor

  • Bedroom 1: Twins beds. Terrace.
  • Bedroom 2/lounge: Suite with double sofa bed. Terrace. Satellite TV.
  • Bedroom 3: Single bed + pull-out bed. Terrace.
  • Shower & Toilet.

Amenities

  • The house uses oil-fired central heating to radiators in all rooms
  • Outside the house there is 1300m2 of fenced garden. There is fresh fruit to pick in the summer and autumn (plums, apples, apricots, cherries, raspberries, walnuts)
  • Large garden terrace with chairs, table and BBQ (It is in full sun from mid-morning to sunset)
  • The house offers fantastic views - a view from the back in October can be seen below.
  • There are 2 ski-resorts nearby (Vistosha: 1 hour. Borovets: 1:30)
  • There are dams and reservoirs nearby
